Our address: 39650 Government Road, Squamish

The Squamish Food Bank doors are open to anyone living in the community of Squamish. All clients must present a government-issued ID with a current address for themselves as well as ID for all other household members. Acceptable identification includes drivers license, health card, passport, birth certificate or immigration paperwork. ID will be requested at each visit.

Clients can utilize the food bank services twice a month. Food is distributed on the first and third Wednesday of every month at 11:30 a.m. in the BC Rail Yards, opposite the West Coast Railway Heritage Park. We suggest that you bring your own reusable bags, back pack or shopping trolley.

We provide safe and secure access to food for those in need. Our new location enables us to increase the amount of donations we can receive and to distribute food in a comfortable, respectful and relaxed setting.

The Squamish Food Bank distributes food to families, seniors, unemployed, low income, those on disability and to others who are in need. We are now able to provide more specialized services and offer a more confidential environment. Our hampers are a supplement only that will last between 3 and 4 days, we do our best to provide a well balanced hamper according to Canada’s Food Guide.

Family Food Bank Day

In October 2016, and on the 2nd Wednesday of every month thereafter, we began providing an extra distribution day for families with children of all ages. We realize that there is a need for some families to access food more than twice per month. On this day we offer a smaller scale Food Bank with eggs, dairy, fruit, children’s snack bags, baby supplies, bread and donated fresh produce when available.
