The Squamish Lions Club are forging a relationship with the Food Bank

The Squamish Food Bank is very pleased with the success of our continuing relationship with The Squamish Lions. The Lions goal is to serve their community, they believe that a single act of kindness can change a life. That is why each month The Squamish Lions will be offering their time, skills and support to our Food Bank. Including helping on Food Bank Days, special projects and other tasks.

There are 46,000 Lions Clubs worldwide with 1.35 million members. Making it the worlds largest service organization. We are so pleased that they will be bringing their energy and purpose to the Squamish Food Bank. For information on Squamish Lions please check out their website at:

Squamish Mills is a monthly donor to the Food Bank. We are so grateful for their generosity. With their $100 monthly donation we can purchase 3 times as much in food.

Whistler Blackcomb Foundation has provided support to Squamish Food Bank for nine years now, making them a significant community partner. From cash donations for food and supplies, to paying off the Food Bank van loan, Whistler Backcomb Foundation has been an integral part of the charity’s success, and we are grateful for their continued contributions.

The Squamish Community Foundation has in recent years provided a grant to our Food Bank, supporting us with funds that enable us to purchase food. They help us reach the immediate needs of the folks in our community. The SCF supports projects that will enrich the quality of life in the community.

  North Shore Salvation Army

A huge part of Food Bank days is the donation we receive from The North Shore Salvation Army, who deliver a great variety of produce and dairy from donators, such as Whole Foods, in Vancouver. This enables us to support everybody with more healthier options, such as yoghurt, milk, cheese, milk alternatives, seasonal fruits and veg, as well as dried goods. We are so grateful for their support and the efforts of their volunteers who drive up to deliver to us in all weathers.

The success of the Food Bank would not be possible without the support of the community of Squamish.

Nesters Market, Save On Foods, Independent Grocer, London Drugs, Walmart, Tall Trees Bakery, Greg Gardner Motors, Shoppers Drug Mart, the SPCA, Veresen, Squamish Helping Hands and The District of Squamish are some of many of our community partners who are working hard to keep food on the tables of those less fortunate.

Thank you Greg Gardner for helping sponsor our truck and for your continued support!!
